High-Tech Gründerfonds has sold its shares in the Dresdner startup CommSolid, which was founded in 2015. The buyer is the Chinese company Goodix, market leader in biometrics and human-interface technologies for mobile devices.

“Germany will be our second R & D location outside of Asia. We will invest in Dresden, where new jobs will be created, “emphasizes Goodix Technologies CEO David Zhang.

CommSolid was founded in 2015 by former Intel employees. The founders vision was to deliver intelligent IoT communication solutions. With the merger, the Dresdner get closer to their dream again.

“Together we can now create highly optimized, connected sensor solutions that are needed in the future market of the IoT,” explains Dr. med. Matthias Weiss, CEO of CommSolid.

Moobilux already reported in 2017 from the company that presented the first on-screen fingerprint sensor at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona.
