The German manufacturer TechniSat presented at the IFA 2018 its first vacuum cleaner robot Technimax SR1. The Technimax SR1 is a smart vacuum cleaner and a new product in the TechniSat Smart Home system, which will also be presented at the Berlin electronics trade fair. The Technimax SR1 is the first product in this segment of domestic technology of the Dauner manufacturer and is scheduled to be launched in December 2018.

Technimax SR1
The suction robot Technimax SR1 has a laser sensor. Unlike many other vacuum cleaner robots, it scans the rooms, detects obstacles directly and brakes against them without touching them. The container holds 600 ml and is equipped with a HEPA filter, thus suitable for allergy sufferers. The manufacturer also highlights the included floor wiper with cleaning function. The floor wiper should be able to be plugged on without unnecessary screwing and be supplied with water and detergent via the integrated 300 ml water tank. With a single charge, the vacuum cleaner robot should be able to get by for 120 minutes before returning to the base station to recharge.

Control via app
The Technimax SR1 can be controlled via the TechniSat Connect app. With the app, the manufacturer allows a uniform operation of a variety of their own products from a central app out. It does not matter if it is the control of the TV in the living room, the radio in the kitchen or the smart home camera on the patio door. The next step will be to connect to the manufacturer’s smart home system and integrate the Alexa voice control system. The Technimax SR1 is expected to come on the market in December 2018 for RRP of 399, -.
