Apple plans to bring its contactless payment service to Germany later this year. This announced Apple CEO Tim Cook on Tuesday at the presentation of the current quarterly figures. Details about the exact date of the rollout have not yet been announced. As t3n reports, Deutsche Bank, Hypovereinsbank, Wirecard and N26 have so far reported themselves as project partners. So far, the payment service is active in 24 markets worldwide and has more than 4,900 banking institutions as partners. A start of Apple Pay in Germany has been speculated several times in recent years. Apple has already introduced the service in many other European countries.
