Gigaset introduces three new smartphones
The German Gigaset AG yesterday presented their three new entry-level smartphones GS 100, GS 180 and GS 185. In addition, the former Siemenstochter announced that the GS GS 185 will be completely manufactured in Germany and that it will be the first device with a Qualcom CPU.
The Gigaset GS 100 is the cheapest smartphone ever made by the German manufacturer. For the price of 119, – Euro you get, a 5.5-inch display in 18: 9 format, which dissolves with 1,440 x 720 pixels. Inside the GS 100, a MediaTek MT6739 quad-core processor, along with 1GB of memory, do its job. The Gigaset GS 100 also features an 8 megapixel main camera and a 5 megapixel front camera. The 8 GB of internal memory, the microSD card can be extended by up to 256 GB. The 3,000 mAh battery of the device can be replaced. As operating system one sets with the GS 100 on “Android Go” in the version 8.1 (Alias Oreo). According to Google, Android Go is especially gentle on Renonces and should thus deliver a usable performance despite the low memory. The dual SIM-capable Gigaset GS 100 will be available in mid-June in the colors Lemon Green, Cobalt Blue and Graphite Gray.
Gigaset GS 180
Somewhat better equipped is the Gigaset GS 180. The resolution here is 1,280 x 720 pixels with a screen diagonal of just 5.0 inches. Inside, MediaTek’s 1.3 GHz quad-core processor, along with 2GB of memory, do its job. The 16 GB internal memory of the device is also expandable. The main camera of the GS 180 has 13-megapixel and photo camera 8-megapixel. The Gigaset GS180, which thanks to its NXP audio processor should provide a good sound and can be unlocked by fingerprint, will also be available from mid-June. Dual SIM Gigaset GS 180 will be available in colors Silver Gray and Champagne at RRP 149, – Euro from week 23 onwards.
Gigaset GS 185
The third new smartphone in the group is the Gigaset GS 185. It is not only the first Gigaset smartphone to use a Qualcomm Snapdragon processor, but also the first smartphone to be produced in the German factory in Bocholt. Of course, the components still come America and Asia, but still the device is unique on the market, which is made in Germany.
Inside the GS 185, a Snapdragon performs 425 quad-core along with 2GB. Memory its service. The 5.5-inch display in 18: 9 resolution dissolves with 1,440 x 720 pixels. The main and front cameras both resolve to 13 megapixels and both have an aperture of F / 2.0. The 16 GB of internal memory can be expanded by microSD card. The operating system is the GS 185 Android 8.1 (Oreo) used. Its power derives from a built-in battery with 4,000 mAh. The new Gigaset GS 185 will be available in Midnight Blue and Metal Cognac from mid-June for 179, – Euro in stores.
