According to estimates by Digtimes Research, the smartphones of Chinese manufacturers will deliver 199.1 million devices in the fourth quarter of 2017. That would be an increase of 11.1 percent over the already strong past quarter. For the increased sales, therefore, in addition to the peak season, the Christmas business is also responsible for the increasing demand abroad.

Strong third quarter
In the third quarter, Chinese manufacturers shipped 179.2 million smartphones. Although this is a decline of 0.4 percent year-on-year, but an increase of 20.8 percent over the previous quarter. It is precisely this strong comparative value that means that the quarterly increase of 11.1 percent, although significant, is nevertheless declining. In China, even the demand for devices to replace the former is increasing.

Top 5
The largest Chinese manufacturers in the third quarter of 2017 were Huawei with 40 million devices, followed by Xiaomi with 23 million delivered smartphones. The latter is now also driving its expansion in Europe. Yesterday, Tuesday, there was the official launch in Madrid for the sale of Xiaomi smartphones in Spain, so that the first time the Chantian manufacturer officially arrived in Western Europe. The remaining three places are followed by manufacturers Oppo, Vivo and Lenovo.
