Gigaset introduces new smartphone GS370
The German manufacturer Gigaset has today, Thursday, presented its new mid-range smartphone GS370 and GS370Plus. Both devices have a 5.7-inch screen. The GS370 has 3GB and the GS370Plus has 4GB of RAM. The storage space of the smartphone is 32 GB or 64 GB and can be expanded via MicroSD card by 128 GB. Unlike the previous Gigaset smartphones, the GS370 and GS370Plus do not have to do without the slot for the second SIM card in order to expand the memory.
For the GS370 models, Gigaset relies on a high-quality aluminum design, in which the combination of 2.5D glass with the aluminum backside merges almost seamlessly. You can choose between the two colors “Jet Black” (GS370 and GS370Plus) and “Brilliant Blue” (GS370Plus). The use of aluminum saved weight, improved thermal conductivity and further reduced the thickness of the equipment. Just 145 grams bring the new models on the scales and that with dimensions of 152 x 72 x 8.2 mm.
The main camera of the new GS370 models consists of a dual-camera module that combines a 13 megapixel camera with particularly reliable PDAF focus function, f / 2.0 aperture and 5 lens objective and an 8-megapixel 120 wide-angle camera. This combination is intended to make it easier to create photos with natural color. This is mainly supported by the static focus of the wide-angle camera. The front camera resolves in 5 (GS370), or 8 megapixels (GS370Plus).
Gigaset installs Android 7 (alias nougat) on the devices ex works. The update to Android 8.0 or 8.1 (Alias Oreo) is scheduled for the second quarter of 2018. In the operating system, the manufacturer relies on the pure stock version of Google’s Android and waives the installation of additional apps.
With the fingerprint sensor on the back, you can not only unlock the smartphone, but also take a photo, scroll in the browser, answer a call and turn off the alarm or an alarm. The battery of the Gigaset GS370 / GS370Plus has a capacity of 3,000 mAh and should be fully charged via the quick charge function in two hours. Not only the battery is charged via the micro-USB port, but thanks to “USB On-the-Go” it can also power other devices with the smartphone. Headphones can be connected to the device via 3.5mm jack or Bluetooth 4.1LE.

The Gigaset GS370 and the GS370Plus are available immediately via the Gigaset website and are expected to be available in stores by the end of November. The recommended retail price for the GS370 is 279, – €, the GS370Plus should cost 299, – Euro, both devices are for the first time in-ear headphones included.
