Gigaset GS170 is presented
The Bocholter company Gigaset, so far above all known for its cordless DETC phones, today presented its second entry-level smartphone. The Gigaset GS170 is the direct successor of the GS160 presented last year.
It is noticeable that the GS170 now also 2 GB of memory. Here, Gigaset listened to the criticism of the GS160. Otherwise, a MediaTek quad-code processor of the type MTK 6737 with 1.3 GHz performs its service in the entry-level device. The internally available 16 GB memory can be extended by a Micro SD card up to 128 GB. One advantage of this is that you do not have to decide whether you prefer to use a second SIM card or an SD card, because the two SIM cards can be operated parallel to the SD card in the Gigaset GS170. The interchangeable 2.500 mAh lithium-ion battery is designed to provide up to two days of power, depending on usage. In addition to the main memory is the Voice over LTE support, briefly VoLTE and the removable covers for the back to the innovations of the GS170 .
The exterior of the Gigaset GS170 has also been reworked in comparison with its predecessor. Thanks to the new rounded 2.5D glass, the device is now more comfortable in the hand and thanks to anti-lubrication coating also always a clear view of the screen. The new optical appearance is now rounded off by a new message LED on the front of the smartphone. This signals incoming messages even when the display is off. Also new are the individually replaceable covers, with which you can give your smartphone a more personal look.

The new Gigset GS170 comes with Android 7.0 alias Nugat from today at a price of 149, – Euro (RRP) in the trade. The interchangeable back cover is also available from 9,99 Euro in the colors Urban Blue and Mocca in the online shop of the manufacturer.
