Linksys Velop introduced
Linksys presented today it’s WLAN-Solution Velop. Velop is the first modular Tri-Band-WLAN-System of the US-Manufacturer, that can install configurations in different settings. It can therefore produce fast and reliable WLAN-connections within the edge of your home. The system’s design is compact, clear and attractive so that it can blend well into any environment.
Configuration per App
Each Velop “Node” is according to the manufacturer a high performance Tri-Band AC2200 device, that acts as a router, range extender, access point and bridge. Each node is configured via the setup on the available Linksys App ( iOS and Android). In this simple and intuitive setup, communication between the mobile device and each node is carried via bluetooth. After completing the setup, the Linksys App acts as a high performance WLAN-Management-Tool with useful features like guest account access, child lock, device priority and so forth. Velop is there to help the user use his broadband connection optimally , in that it delivers 100 % of its connection to edge of the network.
Linksys Velop is to be sold in 3 , 2 or single units over trade partners like Amazon. The RRP for the 3 unit pack lies at 600,- euros, the 2 unit pack at 430,- euros and the single unit at 250,- euros. According to Linksys the packages will be available from the 15. January 2017 in partner stores.
