Lisbon – Today, the first Web Summit outside of Dublin will take place this year from 7 to 10 November 2016 in Lisbon, Portugal. As in previous years, the program is broadly diversified. Investors, founders, start-ups and established companies come together to discuss the exciting developments in various industries.

Participant’s record
This year the Web Summit has over 53,000 participants from more than 166 countries. The organizers themselves also described their event as “Europe’s largest and most important technology market place”.

Ticket prices
However, this year you have to grab a ticket deep into your pocket. As a regular conference participant, a minimum of 800 Euro is due. If you would like to have the full program of workshops, networking events and many other extras you can expect a higher price. Supposedly, up to 3,500 euros have been offered for a Web Summit in recent days.

Program
The Web Summit organizers Paddy Cosgrave claim to attract the most interesting startups and companies from all over the world. At the event this should draw attention with a possible disruptive business model.

Founders, CEOs, investors, engineers and other interested participants come together to discover new startups, get funding for their own company, or simply get inspired by the latest trends.

In addition to the main event, there are a number of “satellite events” which take place in the context of the Web Summits in Lisbon. These go from networking events through parties to pub crawls. Who is looking after the future, which is right in Lisbon here.
